First Communion
Eucharist
“The Body and Blood of Christ are given to us so that we ourselves will be transformed in our turn. We are to become the Body of Christ, his own Flesh and Blood.
We all eat the one bread, and this means that we ourselves become one…God no longer stands before us as the One who is totally Other. He is within us, and we are in him. His dynamic enters into us and then seeks to spread outwards to others until it fills the world, so that his love can truly become the dominant measure of the world.”
Benedict XVI, August 21, 2005
"This is my Body given up for you ”, "This is the Cup of my Blood … shed for you”.
Eucharistic Prayer
"Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his Blood, you shall not have life in you.” (John 6:54)
Holy Mass
The Holy Eucharist is the Sacrament of the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. Through the celebration of Mass, the Eucharist is made present and the community offers the perfect prayer of praise and thanks to God. Every Catholic is expected to celebrate the Eucharist each Sunday. Daily Eucharist is a powerful means of personal sanctification and an important ministry of the lay faithful.
Eucharistic Adoration
Prayer before the Blessed Sacrament (consecrated Host) outside of Mass is an important devotion within our Church. We invite to spend time in our church during the day.
First Communion
First Communion is one of the high points in a Catholic's life. Usually around the age of seven.
The whole First Communion programme usually begins at the beginning of each year, with preparation for First Reconciliation (Confession). It ends some time later in the year.
